What We Do

As a national coal producer, we manufacture low sulfur and ash sub-bituminous coal. 

We own and operate all essential infrastructure facilities connected to our logistics supply chain, ensuring that we can meet customer demand for coal according to the specified requirements. 

Supported by our strategic mining location, substantial reserves, long concession life, and reliable supply, we stand as the preferred supplier for many power plants. 

Marina Bara Lestari has been conducting exploration activities since 2012 to the present. The total resource from exploration has reached more than 100 million tons. 

To meet market demands, Marina Bara Lestari provides coal products with Indonesian Coal Index (ICI) 5 (ICI 5) specifications. The advantages of our products include relatively low ash content ranging from 2-5% and total sulfur content ranging from 0.1-0.2%. 

Production operations commenced in 2022, where, in accordance with current mining permits, we are capable of producing 4-6 million tons of sub-bituminous coal per year. Excavation and transportation of both overburden and coal are contracted to PT Hasta Panca Mandiri Utama (HPMU). After extraction, coal is transported to the processing facility that is 3 kilometers away, then loaded onto barges owned and directly operated by Marina Bara Lestari. 

Our processing facility has a capacity of 500 tons per hour, while the barge loading facility has a capacity of 1,000 tons per hour. Both processing and loading facilities are equipped with a Dust Suppression System (DSS) chemical for dust control, ensuring the safety and quality of the products delivered to customers.
