As a mining company, we have a responsibility for the socio-economic life in the operational area. Aimed at improving the community’s quality of life, we undertake various community development program initiatives consisting of eight main pillars, adopting international standards regarding community and environmental practices.
Education
We are committed to nurturing future leaders. Through scholarships, educational programs, training and basic skills development, we equip every individual to maximize their potential. We offer support for educators, provide assistance with educational facilities and infrastructure, as well as conduct community training for self-reliance.
Health

Public health is one of our top priorities, therefore we contribute to the health of the communities residing around our operational areas by providing support in terms of personnel, facilities, and health infrastructure in collaboration with the local government.
Income Enhancement or Generate Employment
We contribute to the economic growth of the communities around the mining area by developing numerous professions such as trade, agriculture, farming, fishing, and entrepreneurship. Additionally, we prioritize employing local labor, aligning their competencies with our needs and projects.
Economic Empowerment
We support the economic self-sufficiency of the local community by assisting in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), striving for skill and competency enhancement according to their expertise, facilitating partnerships for business development, and providing opportunities to participate in SME development according to their professions.
Social and Cultural Development
We assist in the construction of worship facilities and infrastructure, as well as the organization of religious celebrations and cultural events. We contribute to the local customary events and programs, actively participate in the preservation of local arts and culture, and support youth & sports activities, as well as dealing with natural disasters such as fires and floods.
Sustainable Environmental Management

We are committed to encouraging local community participation in managing a healthy and sustainable environment.
Community Development & Empowerment

We provide guidance and enhance the skills of the leaders and members of village-owned business organizations (BUMKAM) and other relevant institutions. We act as partners in implementing community development programs (PPM), and these institutions serve as platforms for the local community, fostering development and empowerment towards self-reliance and sustainability.
Infrastructure Development
Implementation of initiatives and direct involvement of the entire community in improving overall infrastructure development. Building awareness to preserve and maintain public facilities with the aim of strengthening and expediting the ongoing PPM program.

This commitment includes the implementation of a good Mining Safety Management System in accordance with the statutory provisions, aiming to minimize the risks of accidents and illnesses in the workplace.

In line with the company's mission, Marina Bara Lestari is committed to managing the environment in accordance with statutory regulations (Environmental Quality Standards) by maximizing positive impacts on the environment, minimizing negative impacts, and making efforts to mitigate these negative impacts, such as water waste management, air emissions, and soil pollution.
